We are particularly excited that the RIAS Chamber Choir will perform during the this event. This Berlin-based choir is renowned internationally for its high-level choral performances.

Kick off the event with the Welcome Reception – where science meets social hour! Catch up with familiar faces, spark conversations with new ones, and dive into some seriously cool posters. Germany is famous for a few iconic things: precision-engineered cars, a rich and complex history… and let’s be honest—fantastic beer. So, while we’re here in September, we’re bringing the Oktoberfest vibes to you (just a little early – the real deal starts September 20 in Munich!).

Join us at an exclusive venue for an evening of Gemütlichkeit – complete with home-brewed beers on tap (don’t miss the Berliner Weisse!), classic German bites, and even a beer sommelier ready to take your taste buds on a brew-tasting adventure.

Start your day with some inspiration! Women in Transplantation, in collaboration with IPTA, invites everyone to a special morning meet-up featuring Dr. Sandy Feng, renowned transplant surgeon at UCSF, as she shares highlights from her incredible journey in pediatric transplantation. No registration fee – just RSVP in advance to save your seat! ALL participants are welcome to join.

Ahead of the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, IPTA is excited to host its own Fun Run & Walk! Get into your running gear and join our President Lars Pape on a little Berlin discovery run or walk, partially along the river Spree, to the Siegessäule (Victory Column) and past Bellevue Palace, the official residence of the president of Germany since 1994.

If running isn’t your thing, maybe start your morning with a gentle yoga routine. This yoga session will be accessible to all levels.
